Introduction to the Anime: Haruhi Fujioka, a middle class high school scolar, arrives at Ouran High School as a transfer student. Ouran High School is filled with no other than the wealthiest childs' from around the world. Haruhi Fujioka passes her entrance exam to Ouran High School with an over achieving score. Her score provides her a scholarship to attend Ouran High School, as long as she is able to maintain herself at the the top of each class. This might seem quite difficult for many, but Huruhi is able to accomplish this task with effort, and hard work. In the eyes of the rich, Haruhi is seen as "poor", or what would be the lowest class when it comes to economy levels. Her past is not the brightest one a child could have, but Haruhi'personality is rather much of the "I don't mind" type. Being raised without a mom and through a transgender father, Haruhi spent much of her time on her own, raising herself. Even so, Haruhi is a happy teenager who has high goals, and plans to succeed in the future.
The real fun and story plot begins when Haruhi FujIoka breaks an expensive vase...a vase that's worth 800 million yens. Do the math, from yens to what ever it is you got in your wallet. Whether it's European euros, dollars, pesos, or what ever it is you've got stored, 800 million yens is quite an expense for an average person of the middle class. But, apart from all the global money and comparison, continuing on to what happens in this funny exotic anime, Haruhi Fujioka is stunned at such a chaos she has caused for herself, and her transgender father (who wouldn't have enough to pay her dept). Fortunately for Haruhi Fujioka, Kyoya Ootori (brain of the Ouran Host club) offers Haruhi a deal to repay her dept. Quote: "The Ouran host Club is where the school's handsomest boys with too much time on their hands entertain young ladies who also have way too much time on their hands." As read from the quote, in order for Haruhi to pay her dept, she must help this Ouran Host Club entertain the wealthy female students at Ouran High School. This so out of the normal host club is made up of six members, but as episodes go by, so does the group member total. Eventually this group made up of only six members goes up into having a total of nine members. Here's the getter: No one in the host club relizes Haruhi Fujioka is a female until a few episodes later! Even so, Haruhi keeps up the "guy" act in order to obtain the yens (debt) she needs to pay off.

Impact on Today (What can be seen in both the anime and real life):
If you have not yet watched this incredibly funny, heart getting, anime, you may still be in time to watch this on Netflix. You may also be wondering , what this anime might contain that can be seen within our society. That would be (if in the USA) transgender. Back in the days, transgender would be an unacceptable topic. Nowadays, it can be seen in both television and real life! Now, whether that's a good thing or bad thing will be left to the readers/viewers opinion. In the anime, the rich students view Haruhi as "poor", even though to most she is a median class person. This can not only be seen in the anime, but also within society. In this anime many things, such as actions and sayings, can be seen in todays way of living. Lifestyle, and big changes within society as well. It is quite fascinating to see the similarities/representation such films (that includes anime) can have on today's way of living. Wouldn't you agree?
